“ENERGY DRINKS. LIVE NATURALLY, LIVE HEALTHY.”



          Energy drinks consolidated in our, especially students everyday life and adults too. In April 28th in Siauliai, “Santarve” gymnasium organized the international open-discussion “Energy drinks. Live naturally, live healthy”. This is the part of the “Erasmus+” project “Live naturally, live healthy” program. In discussion participated professional education center Domestic service department, students of Siauliai “Didzdvaris” and “Santarve” gymnasium, social educators, teachers and students from Spain, Italy and Romania – participants of the project “Live naturally, live healthy” (“Erasmus+”), director and specialist of Siauliai self-management  office of the public health.
          Participants of the project presented presentations, discussed about energy drinks composition and influence on young body, reasons for usage of energy drinks, discussed about the role of advertising that has on their popularity, spoke about oversizing and jeers, healthy lifestyle recipes. During the work communicated in six languages but primary language was English. In the end of discussion decided that energy drinks are very important problem of the modern society and spoke about similar questions.


“SANTARVE” GYMNASIUM STUDENTS WELCOMED THE GUESTS FROM SPAIN, ITALY AND ROMANIA



24th April  – 1st May  the “Santarve” gymnasium of Siauliai was visited by members of the international project: students and teachers from Istituto Comprensivo Mazzarino (Mazzarino, Sicile, Italy), IES Sabinar (Roquetas de Mar, Spain) and Scoala Gimnaziala “Mihai Eminescu” (Rosiorii de Vede, Romania). In order to reach the project goals the group of 16 teachers and 29 students learned for a week how to stay healthy in the modern world, refused energy drinks, fast food and walked at least 12,000 steps a day. The project members got to know the Lithuanian nature and animals. They backed bread in the "Aušra" mill museum, made sweets in the "Ruta" factory, watched how kvass and beer were made in “Gubernija”, explored the beach of the Baltic Sea for amber and made health amulets of amber at the workshop "Napoleon." The students presented what they understood about healthy lifestyle on an International round table discussion of energy drinks. The project guests visited the town hall of Siauliai where they met the vice-mayor. Being together and communicating in English all the students became very good friends and now they are looking forward to meet in Spain and Italy.

Transnational Project meeting



On November 9th-13th Romania held its first partners meeting which was attended by the principle of the school also known as the project coordinator Ingrida Kuoliene and the English teacher Aiste Andziute . During the meeting, the project participants were welcomed by the mayor of the Romanian city Rosiorii de Vede and the high school administration. Participants presented their achievements and told what they are planning to do next. The next meeting attended by all partner schools pupils groups will be in spring at “Santarve” gymnasium in Siauliai.


ERASMUS+ PROJECT “LIVE NATURALLY, LIVE HEALTHY” 2015-2017 YEARS



At the end of the summer happy news reached the teachers’ community of “Santarve” gymnasium in Siauliai: Erasmus + strategic partnerships offered the project “Live naturally, live healthy " which was  appreciated by the Italian National Agency and approved to fund the Education Exchange project.  The coordinator of this project - the Italian city Mazzarino school “Instituto Compresivo Mazzarino”. The partners of the project  are educational schools and high schools from Spain Roquetas de Mar and the Romanian Rosiorii de Vede cities including  Siauliai “Santarve” gymnasium. This two years’ project for four European state schools is based on the provisions of the program which focuses on learning and preparation to work and live in the modern technological progress in the world. The project aims are to educate teenagers about the healthy lifestyle.
